General topics
Impacts of maritime traffic on the composition and diversity of the marine surface microlayer in the Guadeloup bays
This thesis will analyse the potential impact of port activities and maritime traffic on the resilience of the surface microlayer. These studies will initially be based on the production of a port typology. The diversity and richness of microorganism communities in and around port areas will be compared with those present in the underlying layer. Physicochemical characteristics and the presence of any pollutants will also be studied. In a context of protection and better environmental management for the marine environment, this work will provide new information on the specific features of microorganism communities at the air-water interface within port areas.
