Visual arts, Landscape, Art-science, Granulometry
The landscape is the main subject of my research, developed from the angle of constant movement, instability, in-between shapes, where the present moment is only a manifestation of one of its states. This object of study allows me to address various subjects such as the relationship between humans and their environments as well as the non-human. I often proceed by repeating simple shapes to express complex ideas.
My work consists of observing the large, slow forms and the small details that are quick to change in a place, to create from its openings, its closures, its different temporalities, its presences or its absences, its language (s), to show its historical or cultural depth, its materials and part of its character. The techniques and materials used vary, in order to make them correspond as best as possible to the ideas they must convey.
I create and exhibit in formal or informal contexts, for places with a strong character or more neutral, sometimes outdoors, with nature, which adds a temporality to the works evolving over time. These artworks do not always represent a landscape in a recognizable way, but they show an aspect of it, express its experience or carry one of its elements in their DNA.
