Ouvéa BOURGEOIS
Marine Biology Research Technician and Administrative Coordinator
I primarily operate in the field and act as a liaison between various economic stakeholders, the marine research station located in the commune of Les Anses d’Arlet in Martinique, and the administrative services of the CNRS delegation in Paris Centre.
As a certified SCUBA diver (2B) and freediver, I contribute to supervising interns and ensuring the proper implementation of scientific protocols under the direction of Dr. Damien CHEVALLIER.
Whether at sea—on the surface or underwater—or on land, I work closely with fishermen and other industry stakeholders. I have participated in numerous scientific studies, theses, reports, and publications. This includes long-term monitoring of marine turtle populations as part of the French National Action Plan (PNA), conducting capture-mark-recapture (CMR) campaigns in Martinique, mapping underwater sites, and monitoring seagrass meadows.
