Research topics

Ecophysiological approach of marine microalgae and marine primary production: from laboratory experiments to coastal ecosystems.
My research axes:

  • Phytoplankton succession and primary production dynamics by developing an ecophysiological approach.
  • Ecophysiology of diatoms with a particular interest in the genus Pseudo-nitzschia
  • Dynamics of primary production by coupling modulated fluorescence technics and isotopic tracers of carbon targeting access to the primary production at high frequency.
  • Effects of pelagos / benthos interactions on the coastal primary production
  • Cellular carbon fluxes from carbon acquisition through photosynthesis to TEP and EPS excretions
  • Interactions between carbon and silicon metabolisms and the cell cycle

Main projects:

  • CHARM3 (2009-2012). CHannel integrated Approach for marine Resource Management – Phase 3 - UE Interreg IVa
  • CROCOCYCLE (2009-2012). Metabolic regulations of nitrogen (N2) fixation, carbon acquisition and their dependence on the cell cycle in unicellular cyanobacteria - LEFE, CNRS INSU
  • ANR COMANCHE (2011-2014).
  • TAPAS (2012-2013) Toxic Algal blooms Phenology in the bAy of Seine)
