The objective is to develop a method for evaluating and prioritizing the heritage value of the coastal subtidal rocky habitats of Brittany. The subject will be interested in the associated benthic and demersal biocenoses. The organizational patterns of these biocenoses will be assessed at several spatial scales from the site to the region. The main area of investigation will be located along the Emerald Coast. The Dinard MNHN is developing a “Biodiversity, Ecosystems, Societies” observatory there in order to understand the structural and functional responses of coastal biocenoses to environmental pressures. The analysis and modelling of the structuring of biocenoses and their links between them will be carried out, according to biogeographic gradients and physicochemical parameters. This study will make it possible to identify the organizational patterns and operating patterns of biocenoses and to highlight the explanatory variables of a site specific to the large regional groups of Brittany. These analyses will lead to the definition of a biodiversity benchmark for the different habitats and a hierarchy of their functional and heritage value. This will serve in particular as a basis for the development of indicators of the quality of coastal ecosystems in the perspective of the MSFD and the development of management plans for MPAs of the Emerald Coast and Brittany.
