Planktonautes d'Île-de-France (PiF) is a participatory science project aimed at studying the biodiversity of plankton in the freshwater bodies of the Île-de-France region. It brings together researchers, students, citizens and scientific mediators.
The objectives of the PiF are:

  1. to generate new knowledge by collecting spatio-temporal data on plankton
  2. to study the dynamics and evolution of freshwater ecosystems through medium- and long-term monitoring of plankton communities
  3. to contribute to the conservation of biodiversity
  4. training, awareness-raising and environmental education.
