General topics

The main theme of my research is the study of the fate of organic matter (OM) in aquatic ecosystems in wetlands (mangroves, varzea, etc.). I pay particular attention to the contribution of this OM to the food webs and in maintaining productivity and biodiversity in coastal environments. I am also studying the impact of anthropogenic discharges on the biodiversity of estuarine and coastal areas and the impact of eutrophication on the fixation of blue carbon in mangroves, taking into account the role of crabs.
