General topics
Structure and functioning of coastal marine ecosystems
- Study of the interactions between biotic and abiotic factors within coastal ecosystems and their spatial and temporal variability using ecological modelling. Integration of physical (hydrodynamism and sediment) and biological processes (primary production, trophic interactions).
- Modelling of the ecophysiological response of primary consumers (bivalves) to the spatial and temporal variability of the trophic resources availability.
- Study of the trophic network structure and functioning using carbon and nitrogen stable isotopes. Integration in trophic network ecological model.
Key words: Ecology, ecosystem modelling, physical – biological coupling, ecophysiological model, trophic network, coastal ecosystems, stable isotopes.
