Research topics

Comparative and Evolutionary Neuroendocrinology:

  • Molecular and functional evolution of neuroendocrine systems;
  • Roles of neuroendocrine systems in the structure, plasticity and evolution of life cycles;
  • Neuroendocrinology and ecophysiology of puberty and metamorphosis

Non-conventional aquatic models (mainly teleosts, and also chrondrosts, molluscs, cnidaria) of biological, phylogenetic, ecological or economic relevance. Field and laboratory investigations.

Basic research with applications to: aquaculture, biodiversity conservation, ecotoxicology and endocrine disruptors.
